Current controversy aside, the cover of Chip & Joanna Gaines’ memoir is actually pretty great. It’s not terribly clever, but it doesn’t need to be. The quality of a cover is t just about design but also about its functionality. And this cover does exactly what it needs to do handsomely, like the couple’s own work.
It’s a great picture of the infectiously watchable duo that every DIY couple aspires to be. It’s simple, accentuated on the lower half by a rustic gray, and clean in its composition. Their personalities are captured: playful, energetic, warm – and what more could you really ask for?
I haven’t read it, and I probably never will to be honest. But it’s a good cover that successfully speaks to its target demographic.
